Stick With Your 2022 New Year Resolutions
A newsletter about goals, books, tools, and my life: this newsletter is for your aspiring journey of seeking your true potential.
We are one month into 2022, and I hope you still stick to your new year’s resolutions. Remember, most people fail to accomplish their yearly goals, and only 8% achieve them.
To achieve your dreams, you need to be on top of your goals and take daily actions. Please take a moment to review your 2022 goals and track your progress. Think about your accomplishments, most memorable moment, best lessons, who are you grateful for.
The most crucial step in achieving your goals is having a strong “why” behind them, your action plan, and follow-through. You can change your life one step at a time, and goals are one of the powerful ways to lift many areas of your life.
I have created many articles around goals & new year resolutions, so please benefit from those articles. For example, please look at this comprehensive article to make your 2022 goals and achieve them.
Free Planner for 2022
Many people like printed planners, and I recommend checking out planners from the Passion Planner. You can download their free 2022 planner and print it at home.
Let’s talk about books.
Books are one of the cheapest sources of new learning. One book can expose you to 10 years worth of experience. Each book teaches you something regardless of genera.
I just finished reading (listening) Personality Isn’t Permanent by Benjamin Hardy. Multiple people have recommended this book to me. I learned how various life events affect our beliefs and drive our behavior and Personality. Mr. Benjamin, in this book, also provides techniques you can break free your past belief and create new ones. I loved it, and I would suggest you read it.
Top 3 books you should read in February.
The Richest Man in Babylon by Clason, George S. I love reading books with fables, and in this book, the author shares financial advice through a collection of parables set in ancient Babylon.
The 5 AM Club: Own Your Morning. Elevate Your Life by Sharma, Robin S. This book talks about the benefits of early morning with a step-by-step method to utilize your morning hours. The most important takeaways for me are waking up early, 20 minutes of an activity that pumps your heartbeat, 20 minutes of meditation, and 20 minutes of journaling.
How to Consciously Design Your Ideal Future by Hardy Benjamin P. I started listening to this book because it is only a three-hour-long audiobook. It offers steps and techniques that you can utilize to optimize your life.

Exciting things from my daily life.
My wife is traveling to India for a few weeks. My ten-year-old daughter & I are doing many things together, such as cooking, cleaning, dishes, walking, reading & watching TV. We also went strawberry picking and drama/theater. We are enjoying our time together, and I call it a Father-Daughter retreat.
My son got COVID-19 from his college; fortunately, he only had mild symptoms. He quickly recovered and went back to his college.
I have been taking a cold shower for about 45 days. There were some stressful days when it seemed like a talking cold shower was the only thing going as I planned.
My full-time work is at its peak at AdventHealth as two major deliveries are coming soon, February 8 & February 28. We integrate the Epic EMR system with our AdventHealth apps and transition our first wave of patients (facilities) on Epic by March 6. Our testing cycle involves six in-sprint testers and four regression testers. We also did our quarterly Pi planning (quarterly planning).
One of my team members said kind words to me, which I will forever remember. Being able to contribute and impact someone’s life is the most significant accomplishment.
Update on my personal goals
I meet my January goal of publishing one Medium article and one YouTube video every week. I exceeded my goal by posting seven articles, five videos, and one newsletter. I also read one book, Personality Isn’t Permanent, by Benjamin Hardy.
Tools I am using
I am using Asana for managing my writing & YouTube. I am using Workflowy to take quick notes and NotionHQ for my vision board. Things 3 is also in the mix, and if you are interested, I can show you how I use these tools.
I started using a Pomodoro app called Flow to focus on one task at a time. It is hit & misses, but I am practicing. Pomodoro is a time management technique in which you work for 25-minute followed by 5 minute break. An extended break after four work blocks. I am trying 50 min work block and 10 min break. Each work slot is called a Pomodoro, the Italian word for tomato in this technique.
My YouTube Studio
Below is a picture of my YouTube studio. I use iPhone, Yeti Mic, Logitech webcam, and a few ring lights.
